To everyone who is thinking of buying or selling a home, I would like to take this time to sing praise for one of the very best agents I have ever met, Loretta Barra. During my relocation to California, Loretta was on top of every detail from the very beginning and I couldn't have been more impressed with her timeliness, her professionalism and her attention to details throughout.
We didn't have an easy transcation. From a fussy and frugal seller, to title issues, Loretta had a ton on her plate when it came to assuring a proper close of escrow for my home in Piedmont. She patiently worked through all the problems and did not at any time make them my responsiblilty to worry about during my move. She knew I had no room for any additional stress from my end. I can't tell you how appreciative I was.
Loretta made it fun - if buying a home can actually be fun. No matter what happened we always found a way to laugh through the issues and that's an important piece of doing business with someone. Loretta is one of the most personalble and warm people you could ever do business with, but don't let it fool you about how tough minded and tenacious she can be when it's time to fight for what should be done well. From the beginning of our very casual search for a new home all the way through to our closing and move, Loretta was top-notch, professional, a pleasure to work with, flexible, patient and strategic.
While we had contemplated upgrading our old house, we also were open to moving. We met Loretta at an open house, and while she was not at all pushy, she stayed in touch with us over the course of the next seven months. Dear potential homebuyer/seller, I am writing this letter to recommend Loretta Barra to anyone looking for a realtor. Our experience with Loretta could not have been better. We were living in a nearby bay area city and looking for a bigger home. We were working with another realtor for almost a year but were not having any luck finding our dream home. We met Loretta at an open house and struck up a conversation. She had some great advice and seemed genuine. Unlike a lot of realtors, she did not come on strong. She did not call constantly. She got to know us and what we were looking for. She sent weekly email listings. After a month she found us the perfect house! The purchasing transaction was great due to Loretta's personality and attention to detaill. Our previous home buying experience was a nightmare so we were holding our breath, but it could not have gone smoother. To this day Loretta remains a friend. She has offered invaluable suggestions and advice about the area. She is very professional yet also as down to earth and friendly as can be.
